I just had my PS crash last night and lost a total of three days changes to two psds and one brand new psd. Had them open since Wednesday night and was adding/changing things and poof, all work gone Sad

How do I create a clipping mask for something like a framed banner. I've shared a few 4s stock wallpaper psd's and I've been asked to include this in future builds. So far I select the layer I'd like to duplicate and I then highlight the new layer. I then select inverse, delete, and set layer effects.

like on your sig psd, the frame outline has to be hollow and the background has to be a separate layer. then if somebody wants to use a diff background inside of the frame the just drag the new layer above the existing background, right click on the new layer and select clipping mask. hope that made sense

How do you create the gradient effect (the curved glassy effect) on the icon like this one? This might not be the best example confused

just guessing here...
i would assume u would make a circle selection (where the reflection isnt) than invert it...
use ur gradient tool.
than create a mask of the icon shape
