ok. First Question: What happened to the "lighting effects" option in filter>render for CS5? its in that menu in older PS versions. is there a easier way to do background lighting effects?

I only have: clouds, difference clouds, fibers, and lens flair.

EDIT I Figured it out. macs automatically run CS5 in 64 bit mode vs.32 bit. If anybody else needs help see the article below to easily run CS5 in 32bit mode to be able to use these effects.

First order of business: Bookmark Deviant art. You can access ton and tons of resources and tutorials there. I will give you this link here to get you started. Layers threw me of for a bit when I first started out Very Happy

Most of all just experiment with it have fun and if you accidentally make something cool, write down what you did right away!, cause you will forget it when your first starting out. Anyway here is a link :
